I know i am probably the only loser who is this upset about the writers strike in hollywood but i am a greys anatomy addict... it is one of my only guilty pleasures and i am jonesing for a new episode. but the writers want a piece of dvd sales (which is understandabale) and other serious issues and the GD POS big hollywood powers that be wont compromise with them on it. i looked it up, the last strike lasted 22 weeks in the 90's, it has only been 6 weeks since this one started and there are no dates set to negotiate, the hollywood big wigs say they wont negotiate with the writers union "with a gun to their heads" (alluding to the strike). plus this time the tv stations have reality shows like american idol and survivor that dont need writers to draw big ratings... this thing could go on forever. So i plead... please please please give us our shows back
It'd be nice if Hollywood accepted fan scripts during this writter's strike... Then they could filter through them, find the best of the best, and act them out. For those writers whose scripts got aired, it'd be like winning the lottery. Plus - it might just land a career as a Hollywood writer, lol. _________________
