And some people just don't care.
Alright, so here we have the American Government, the FBI, the CIA, various internation organizations, and a handful of internet providers worldwide all of whom are trying to make piracy ridiculously hard.
Well, thanks to loopholes and other whatnots, I, like most of you, have been able to rely on sites like demonoid for my pirating needs. Problem is, sometimes private sites like that don't have the content your looking for, so you're forced into a public torrent tracker like torrentbox. What's the advantage of private verses public torrent tracking sites? Well, a private site sort of pressures it's members to seed (share) what they download, at the advantage of gaining a faster download speed. So, by contrast, the public tracking sites don't really pressure anyone to seed their downloads, and because of it people just leach off each other and the general download speed SUCKS as a result.
The game I'm am looking to get is a whopping 8.27GB in size, and because of it, what could be a mere 5 hour download at an acceptable speed, is turning into a full 2 day download (plus change) because I'm having to pull the files from the voide between existances. No one is seeding this stupid thing.
I am connected to 1374 peers who are leaching from each other, and a total of 131 people who are capable of seeding, but none of which are seeding to me.
When I started this download, roughly 29 hours ago, it was at a decent seed to leacher ratio (because I know what to look for in a torrent). But now it's moving sixty different kinds of slow, all because no one out there cares enough to let their uTorrent seed it for even 2 hours after it's done.
If everyone just seeded their warez for a mere two hours, that would boost everyone's download speed by a whopping 210 kB/s (which would zoom past this crawling 58 kB/s that I'm having to deal with right now). _________________

I'm completely infuriated... A measley 46.4 kB/s, seriously? For about two minutes I was rocking 340 kB/s and it looked like I'd actually get this some time before I died of natural causes...
Edited the post to protect both my privacy as well as Rob's, lol. _________________

You think you have it hard?
What wouldn't I give for 46.4 kB/s?
Come here to the Canary Islands and try downloading the same file. You'll be lucky to get 1 or 2 kB/s, let alone 46.4 kB/s.
So next time you have to wait 2 days to download something, think of me and the 2 years it would take me. 46.4 kB/s will seem like a luxury.

NOOOO!!! DAMMMIT!
ARGH!!!
I just burned the disks, two HUGE MAMMOTH DVDs and both verified data and read as a successful burn (thanks PowerISO), but half way throught the install, it asked me for Disk 2, which turned out the be a bad burn (thanks, PowerISO).
So why not just re-burn it? Well, because it required 15GB of hard drive space to install, so, seeing as I had already burned the images to DVD, I deleted them, like some sort of imbred moron, and files that big don't exactly sit around in your recyle bin, they're perminantly deleted.
I tried my undelete programs, but most can't even find it, and the one that did find it, only found 23% of it, the rest was destroyed beyond recovery.
So now I either get to go through this whole damn process again, or hope and pray that someone out there has the image of Microsoft Flight Simulator Delux Disk 2 and are willing to share.
I swear this sort of crap always happens to me.... _________________

You know you could have just asked me in the first place, I mean come on, the reason you keep me around is because I don't need sleep and can find things that others can't.
Check the Games section...
