Tired of your run-of-the-mill first person shooters? What if I told you there was one that had it all: Good plot, Online Multiplay, a variety of weapons, and a ton of zombies. Well all of that and more is in LOTD's Road to Fiddler's Green.
The game is about 3 years old currently and comes on two platforms (PC and X-Box). It has a nice, extremely simple plot, but the gameplay is phenominal. The graphics are really nice despite some really low minimum requirements, and it doesn't really require you to have any speacile hardware. I'd recommend having surround sound though, because without it, you will get snuck up on.
The game has an average retail of $19.95 new, and $14.95 used, but finding it is a miricale in and of itself. The online multiplayer is promising, but very very rarely is anyone hosting a server, so if you decide you'd like to host one and have your friends join, odds are it'll be the only one in the list.
The zombies are the standard LOTD model, so you can expect them to adapt and survive. They're just as hard to destroy as in the movies, if your surrounded you may as well give up. Additionally, as you progress in the game, they learn things such as how to use weapons and in some cases, how to open doors (instead of just smashing them down).
The game itself is intense, and may just put you a little over the edge if you're playing late at night in a dark room. It has tons of little scares thrown in to keep you in a nice, healthy state of paranoid panic.
Pirating the game is not an easy feat because virtually know one knows about it and no one will seed/share it long enough for you to download it. So if you want to get it, you're best bet is to keep an eye out at your local game shops, or perhapes even game vendors at flea markets or malls. Even if you have to drop more than $20 into the game, its worth every bit of it.

Warnings to the meak:
~This game has some pretty intensive scares which will pop out at you whenever you least suspect it.
~Additionally this game has a lot of gore in it, so if you're looking for something for you little brother/sister or kids to play - this game isn't it... Unless you want to scar them for life, at which point, it may prove effective.
~If you're looking for something really easy, don't play this game. It is really hard to not die, even on its "Easy" setting - thus adding to the tension you experience while playing the game, playing on your emotions.
~I have read numerous reviews where people, even some as old as 36, have had graphic nightmares as a result of this game. If you should have any such nightmare, do the best you can to remember that it is just a game.

If all of those warnings did nothing but intrest you more - get the game.

I played this game according to my real life style. I don't fight with the zombies, I just kill them. I have also built a custom analog controller plugin for the game on my computer, and as soon sa I get internet, I'd be more than happy to share it with anyone who has the game. Also If anyone plans on hosting a server, you better invite me...please, It gets really old playing invasion mode by yourself.
