I am out of books to read! I like a lot of fantasy stuff , laurell k hamilton, Charlain Harris, anne bishop and the like. I am coming out of a bad relationship so i am not really looking for anything with a lot of romance in it. Just wondering if anyone has read anything good lately (it doesnt have to be supernatural i just like that best)

Here's a list of a few good reads that I personally enjoyed:

The Testament - John Grisham
The Rain Maker - John Grisham
Rose Madder - Steven King
[Those are some pretty good 'serious' fictions]

Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling
[I'm serious, I know it's childish to say out loud, but if you read all seven of them, they get progressively better, and much more serious as things progress. Additionally they're written really well and don't wrap up with any real loose ends.]

There are a whole bunch more, but I don't wan't to list things off without giving credit to the author's most of whom's names escape me. So when I gather all the books back up, I'll probably list them off.

I read those grishams, liked em, but the client was my favorite by him, book=much better than movie. Yes i read all the harry potters, i was one of the dorks who stood in line at midnight the first day the last one came out, but at least i spared some dignity for myself and didnt dress up like a witch (any more than normal anyway). I'll try the stephen king, thats one i havent read and its actually been recomended to me by someone else recently. Thanx!

Recently I have read the following books:

Lord of the Rings Trilogy - J.R.R Tolkien

History of the Runestaff - Michael Moorcock

Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code - Eoin Colfer

As you can probably tell, I like fantasy books. I love to immerse myself in an imaginary world, I don't know why, it's just me.

I could recommend any of the above three books to you if you want a good fantasy read.

The Lord of the Rings you have probably either read or seen the movies of, so you'll know what happens, but when turning the book into the trilogy, about 48 hours worth of extra scenes were cut. I find them important, which is why I always read the book again after watching one of the movies.

The History of the Runestaff is extremely entertaining, but you'll need to really want to read it. Only fans of the genre need apply.

Artemis Fowl - all of these books are absolutely brilliant, probably one of the best series I have read for a long time.

Fantasy books are really good when you want to escape reality and just enjoy another world and just live anothers life...

History of Runestaff sounds quite interesting. I think I am going to see if I can get my hands on it.
