Iran successfully tested long and mid-ranged ballistic missiles, which could reach distances of 2,000km (which can easily reach Israel). They said that it was a response to the threats they've received from both Israel and United States, and to show that they are able to hit any pre-determined target within seconds in case of an attack.

Just recently the United States has started making deals with both Czech Republic and Poland. The deal includes building an anti missile defense shield. The reasons given for these is to defend from Iran.
In response to this move, Russia actually stepped in and has stated that if US goes through with these actions, that Russia will respond with military actions, and that there would be no room for diplomatic measures.

Seems as if there is a bit of a mix up going on there, this continues...who knows what happens next.

I can't believe I didn't recieve a "new post" message about this... Otherwise I'd have been in here on the 10th, with some better things to say, lol.

It was only a matter of time before Iran aquired WMDs. And truth be told, it's only a matter of time before we (being the nations of the world) all eraticate each other through warfare.

I for one am sick and tired of screwing around in Iraq and Iran, because we don't have any reason to be there (we had reason to go into Afganistan, but we hardly went there at all).

Let Iraq, Iran, and all those other third-world countries over there try making it without our support. I say the US and UK should stop sending millions of dollars worth of food and supplies over there. Why should we let countries that hate us, be completely dependant on us? Let them build up their own country, leave them alone, and if they go to start crap with us, gently remind them that we have bombs that could, with one detenation, whipe their entire country off the face of the earth. Man this sort of stuff iritates me.

I can understand Iraq and Iran hating us (the US), and I can partly understand them hating the UK (seeing as they helped us turn this conflict into a war). After all, at the risk of repeating myself, WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY REASON TO GO INTO IRAQ. Granted a ton of them hate us because we're basically the closest thing their religions have to the embodiment of evil, but I can actually ignore that out of religious tolerence, and in trade, you'd think they could ignore us. I mean, Satan would seem like such an overwhelming evil if he just stayed in his property and kept to himself. All America needs to do is stop running into every single conflict we can, acting like were some sort of saintly symbol of justice...

But no... Can't leave well enough alone... We've got to go charging into places we don't belong killing people and then telling them how they should live. Every single time we loose a troop in Iraq, it's in the news. We have lost an average of a person every 3 weeks since the start of this war. That alone means we have them seriously out-gunned. But consider how many of their people (not just soldiers) have been killed by us since the start of the conflict. Thousands.

Considering that, everytime I hear Bush say we can't leave this war, it makes me think he doesn't want any survivors. Sort of like the way Hitler ran things, when you think about it. Only instead of swift tactfulness amid evil ambitions, Bush operates on a Red Neck "Imma gonna kill you'ns dead" mentallity. The only reason he's gotten the Hitler-ish end effect is because he's spend BILLIONS of dollars and sent roughly 5% of the American Population (no small number) in waves to beat the ever-living crap out of this small country.

Iraq and Iran are small, miserible, poorly funded countries without stable economies or UN relations. On a worldly scale, they're about as threatening as a 98lbs weak 12 year old boy. Even if they aquire WMDs, they're resources will be so limited compared to the US or the UK, that it'd basically be like they were tossing rocks at as.

Imagine it this way: You have two small, thin, weak 12 year old boys. Then you've got two Big, muscular, and very powerful 30 year old men (the US and the UK). They two men start beating the crap out of one of the boys, and then one of the men (the UK) realizes this is stupid and a waste of effort, so he stops trying as hard... The other man continues to beat the boy into submission for 8 years... Is this something to be proud of? These countries are of no threat to us, only to each other.

We have them beat in every concievable category; weaponry, technology, man power, funding, resources, offensive front, defensive front, so on so forth. So what if they aquire some long range missles? What're they going to do? Whipe out a town or two, so that we'll be devistated for about 2 years, but 8 years later, barely remember it. Remember 9/11, Pearl Harbor, the Oklahoma City Bombing? Not really. What about other tragedies, like the Chicago fire, the Columbia Space Shuttle botched Re-Entry? Hell, other countries have gotten over crap we've done to them (more Eurpopean cities were leveled than I can recall in WWII, and lets not forget what we did to Japan)...

The fact at hand is that with the push of a button, we could completely destroy them. We could settle with Atomic warfare instead of nuclear, and we'd still be able to whipe them off the face of the Earth in less than half a day.

The moral of all my ranting: America shouldn't throw a fit every time some underfunded country starts work on a weapon. After all, have you ever know of anything of decent quality to come out of these countries? No... It's all poorly made and rarely works.
