6-8 apples; cored, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
juice of 1/2 a lemon

(topping*)
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup softend butter

Mix apples with sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice.
Lay apples i bttered 8" pan to a depth of 1 1/2".
Mix flour, brown sugar, and butter - spread over apples.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

*topping variation: add 1/2 cupchopped pecans to mix.

never had apple crumble... we (my family) has an old collection of recipes in a big black binder, this is where i've gotten these recipes from... some of these recipes go back to my great grandmother so lord only knows where some of the recipes originate from.

its similar but crispy lol that the main differences but i would have to try it to taste any more difference and i wonder if you can add rhubarb instead of apple
