Millions of zombies are roaming the lands, ready to devour your delicious body on sight. The times are dier, and thus options are limited. Undoubtedly the military-operated survival camps will be under too much stress to be properly check and quarenteen its citizens - so within no time, they'll be deathtraps...
Do you bunker down where you are, and fight untill you've cleared the area?
Or do you migrate from place to place, seeking shelter and only fighting when you absolutely have to?
Or do you perhapes set off in route for a place that you deem is safe enough for long term survival - and if so - where?

As for me, I'd have to gather up enough munitions to ensure that I could plow my way through zombies at least untill I could make it to the Pensacola Marina. There, I'd highjack a yacht and have a fellow survivor (such as Rita or Davy) follow me with a speed boat. I'd get a good mile off shore, then tie the two together and anchor down. The speed boat would serve us well for trips to go get food, while the yacht would sleep a small crew of survivors rather comfortably.
As an additional survival measure, I'd make sure to secure a building on land and put about 10% of every food and ammo recovery trip haul into it. This way, at the first sign of severe weather, we can abandon the yacht and seek the safety of the building, at least untill weather cleared back up. I can't swim well enough to risk my only survival shelter sinking beneath my feet. _________________

My location is ideal for holding off the undead hordes.
Only a few minute's walk from where I live is the main police station for the Canary Islands, full of riot equipment, weapons, Kevlar vests, armoured vehicles, etc.
My first act would be to make it there and secure some weapons and protection. Ideally my friend Daryl and I would then take two armoured vehicles to the best strategic location in town - the barranco.
A barranco is essentially a huge gorge. Over the course of the various eruptions of our beloved volcanic island, the lava carved hundreds of enormous gorges in the ground, stretching kilometres from the sides of the mountain itself, eventually opening out into large, shallow, habitable valleys where the majority of the population is based.
The sides of this particular barranco are a hundred metres high. A sheer vertical drop. Any zombies stupid enough to attack from above will fail. Completely.
In the cliff sides there are various caves, large enough for us to get the armoured vehicles into without touching the sides, and shelter in. We could hold the zombies off for a while with the supplies we brought down.
At some point, we would try to contact you, Rita and Davy. You could sail over to us in your fancy boats and yachts. You and Rita could have a child, and we'd begin creation of a new world.

I'm obsessed with and greatly fear Zombies...Interesting you have a forum for this topic...
My ideal escape is similar to yours, Vicious. I would probably head for water...in a boat or something with the closest people I know, but not very many. (Ryan, Jesse, Amber, Mom, Rita, Brianne, You'll be with Rita) Of course we would supply with food. Fish and such and go to land only when we must. Gosh I hate Zombies..
I also had an idea of building an underground city just in case something like this happened. It would have artificial sunlight, moonlight, rain, wind, blah blah blah and all the essentials you need to survive. That would be a bit too complicated I think, though. -har-
I'm done now. _________________

Well, Rita would be with me on my boat, lol, but you're welcome to come and bring people. It's a big boat... If you're intrested I can send you the full plan. It's not exactly a long read, but it contains some details I can't exactly post publicly. _________________

If zombies invaded I could be very much so screwed. Land locked as I am. Though most likely id gather up some heavy cars, create as much of an armed convoy as I could or just a battering ram of a convoy and gtfo.
In the sense that I could have say unlimited things at my disposal I would climb a water tower or something, somehow gather all the zombies around it. And with enough ammo/food/bait I would just sit up there and start popping the jerk off's one by one _________________ "When it comes your time to die, be not like those who weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Hmmm let's see... 6.5 Billion people in the world. It'd take a while to build up ammo... But If I laid down a constent stream of well-aimed shots...
On Average I can place 12 good shots every 15 seconds with a sniper rifle, if reload is swift. Knowing that... If I deprived myself of food and sleep for one solid 24 hour day, I could take out roughly 69,000 of them.
Repeat that stunt as nessicary and soon we'd have a zombie free world. But that's supposing I could ever get up 69,000 sniper rifle bullets.
No, if I had some way of baiting them in, I could drop some nice home-made bombs on them.
But I suppose the best thing to do would be to play off their ignorance. Basically, just camp out at the bottom of a ravine or something that, as they march towards you, would cause them to fall and die. A mote of acid would be ideal, but more than a shade un-realistic. _________________

So long as the bombs you make are explody types and not fragmentation. A hacked up zombie unless he was right on the gernade will most likely still come at you. A disentigrated one wont.
And hey, if I can have my water tower of doom then you can have your mote of acid. Everyone is a winner!
'cept the undead. _________________ "When it comes your time to die, be not like those who weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home"
