I play Oblivion. I've already beaten much of it though, which is really sort of a shame considering that Oblivion is the whole reason I bought my video card.

It's a completely awesome game, especially when GOOD mods are in place. You know, mods made by someone who knows how to avoid crashing the entire game when modding.

Actually, there is a two player mod for TES:4 Oblivion. But it's really sort of low-tech and not very impressive. The reason I mention it, however, is because I have been really tempted on getting it and playing with it to such a point to where I could have a server that holds up to 250 players...

So why haven't I done it? Because I can't decide on how the sleeping system should work. You see, in Oblivion, a large part of the game focuses on time. "Oh, this shop isn't open for another 6 hours? I guess I'll just wait here then." People use their sleep, rest, and wait options to make time pass faster. Only problem with that is, how do I make time pass for one player who is sleeping, yet not for the others who are logged in?

The best way I can think to do this would be to actually disable sleeping all together, which would make beds useless.

Another problem I'd run into is having people actually own the houses they can buy in cities such as Anvil and Bruma. Would one player buy a house and then no one else be able to, or would I be able to script the door to say, "Type the name of the player who's home you want to enter, or just press enter to visit yours." And then of course, I'd have to do something about theft, so that if someone tried to visit your home without your permission, they'd get a message from the door saying, "The door is locked, there seems to be no way to open it."

So, with that said, I'd have quiet a bit of trouble trying to work on such a project by myself. I mean, sure, if given enough time I could probably make some of these problems work better, but I'd need a partner or three if I'm to get through the long list, lol:

~Setting up a "Sorry that name is taken" message during player creation.
~Making it to where players could form a team and work co-operatively on quests.
~Setting some sort of table data that would allow the houses to be on seperate instances, that way if one team comes in and cleans out a house, the next player won't walk into to an empty house, but instead will have all the stuff to steal that he would want. Plus, once looted, the player(s) would be unable to loot from the same place again.
~Somehow disabling the console codes... Because no one wants to go PVP with someone who has enabled God Mode.
~I'd have to make it to where there is some sort of text field, otherwise players without Ventrilo or TeamSpeak would have no way of talking to each other.
~I'd have to edit the way the multiplayer mod works and make it to where the animations were less choppy, and you could witness other players, not as an NPC that moves flip-book style across the world and has no jumping or attacking animation...

So... Yeah, those are just a few of the things I would have to work on. I'd love to put my name in the books as being the one to do it, but frankly I can't even get a quarter of the way through without having a team behind me.
