This is nothing spectacular, but I did develope a decent method for making text look like it's displayed via an 8-bit LCD. Not exactly perfect, but then again, I didn't put as much time into it as it deserved.

Oh, and by the way, if you've never seen a VMU before (the thing in the picture) they are the Memory Card Units used by the Sega Dreamcast. Speaking of Sega Dreamcasts, I'd like one, if anyone knows where to get a good deal.

I actually have a DreamCast and I would certainly send it to you, but shipping costs would be beyond my means to pay.

Most likely beyond mine as well, seeing as I'm currently flat broke (I have no moniez at all Sad)... But I find myself wondering how much the shipping would cost, lol.

What a shame you can't upload it, lol.

I'm sure you could find someone in your area who has one and would be willing to open a trade.

Eh, my area has a populous of about 2600 people and only about 15% of the them fall into the retro video gamming generation. The younger ones were born in the age of X-Boxes and PS2, and the older ones don't have any consoles.

So my chances are realatively slim. I've asked around and had no luck, other than to perhapes try and save up money and go down to the flea market (way down town).

Alternatively you could get a DreamCast emulator, they're very easy to come by, although they are absolutely huge.

I've tried emulating actually. And while some games emulate decently, the one that I'm most looking to play again (Shenmue) does not.
