I've asked a few of you to whip up some icons for me to place on the Infohub Forum Index. I've also taken my stab in the dark at it, and I decided to create this Community Voice post in the polls section that way we can each showcase our icons and allow user's to vote on them prior to putting them in place.

- News @ Infohub & News Abroad (Picture of a newspaper)

- Say Hey ("Hey" Bubble)

- Feedback (Picture of a cartoon man speaking loudly)

- Knowledge Base, Books, e-books (Picture of a Book)

- Polls Section (Picture of a pen checking a box)

- Member Lounge (Picture of a group of Smilies)

- Advice (Picture of shaking hands)

- Comedy (Picture of the Comedy Mask)

- Guides & Tutorials (Picture of a Hammer)

- Life (Picture of Clouds)

[No Icon for the Arcade Of Sorts forum because I'm probably going to delete it...]

- Member Businesses (US Version: Picture of a 3D Dollar Sign)

- Member Businesses (European Version: Picture of a 3D Euro Sign)

- Insights (Picture of an eye)

- Poetry & Lyrics (Picture of a Feather quill)

- Art (Picture of a Painter's Brush and Pallet)

- Shows & Moves, Video (Picture of a Play Button)

- Console Gaming (Picture of a PS2 Controller)

- Computer Games, Games (Picture of a Joystick)

- Music (both) (Picture of a Music Note)

- All Other Topics (Picture of a Blank Button because I couldn't think of anything to squeeze in there)

- Computer Issues (Picture of a Laptop)

- Rants (Picture of an angery cartoon guy)

- Recipies (Picture of a Deep Fried Chicken Leg)

- Warez Requests, Apps (Picture of a Cursor)

- Disease Outbreak (Picture of a strand of DNA)

- Homeland Invasion (Picture of a Nuclear Bomb exploding into a Mushroom Cloud).

- Zombie Apocolypse (Picture of a Zombie in a suit)

- You VS World (Picture of the letters VS, short for "verses")

All images are 60x60 and in PNG format (that way they're transparent with the latest browsers, but smoother than if they were in GIF format). Feedback would be appreciated, but please bare in mind that two other icon sets should be comming in from other members, lol.

I think they look great... Looks like you put a lot of thought and work into them. I especially like the ones for Disease Outbreak, Homeland Invasion and Zombie Apocolypse... lol

I say use them. I'm very impressed. Don't see a point in me making some.

Okidoke. They're up now...

If anyone experiences a slower load time as a result, please let me know, but this shouldn't be the case seeing as they only add an extra 2.5 MB to the web traffic.

Personally I loathe and detest these things. Don't get me wrong, it isn't the icon itself that irritates me, its the fact that it dominates the forum index.

I always used to browse based on which sections had new posts and which ones didn't, but with the icons the default forum images are completely obscured.

The icons themselves are brilliantly done, a fine work of art, but they don't really fit the theme we are using...

Rita said the same thing about not fitting to theme... Although, just so you know, the icons to the left (the diamond ones), are those that indicate new posts. The icons I made are squeezed in with the title fields (which didn't indicate post cronos).

Anyway, If anyone has any theme-related suggestions I'm still open to change.
