I've developed a problem with a headset whereby all the wires have been pulled out of the headset completely.

Basically I now have wires attached to nothing and a headset attached to nothing.

I picked them up from the table beside my bed and took them over to my computer desk, but on the way the wire got caught on the handle of a low cupboard. I didn't notice so I just kept walking.

The first thing I knew about it was the "SNAP" sound, so I looked down and in my hand was a headset with no wires.

Said wires were still wrapped around the handle of the cupboard.

Is there any way to fix this problem? I really don't care about the headset itself, they are easy to come by, but the thing is that this headset isn't mine, it is my dad's, and when I borrowed them he specifically told me not to break them like I have done numerous times before.

It isn't a brilliant picture from my webcam but you can just about see my problem if I didn't describe it well enough.

I can stick wires into holes but I don't know how to reconnect them so that they function correctly.

My dad isn't home yet so I have some time. I need help with this, if indeed there is anything I can do. If this cannot be fixed then I'll probably be banned from computer use for the rest of the month/my life so don't expect me to be posting here any more.

Thanks in advance.

This could be a simple fix depending on where the wires snapped. If they snapped at the sauder, then there's almost no point repairing them, but if they broke mid-line, this can be fixed quickly and easily with a little bit of Electrical tape and a good cutting tool (scissors, wire cutters, I've even used fingernail clippers).

If you see wires sticking out of the headset, then this will be easy. But if not, you may have to open the headset to see if there's any wire left inside for you to splice with.

Splicing wires is rather simple, but if you need help, I can assist you via webcam over yahoo.
